Duties
- Accurately process retail sales transactions using POS (Point of Sale) systems while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting shoppers with product inquiries, offering product demos, and upselling relevant items to enhance their shopping experience
- Handle cash, credit card, and mobile payments securely, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed at all times
- Maintain organized merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking efforts to ensure products are appealing and accessible
- Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries, providing clear information and assistance
- Support store operations by supervising other team members when needed, especially during busy periods or staff shortages
- Assist with inventory management tasks such as stock replenishment and inventory counts to keep the sales floor well-stocked and inviting
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales experience, preferably in grocery stores or similar environments, is highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems and cashiering procedures is essential for accuracy and efficiency
- Strong communication skills in both English and bilingual capabilities are a plus for serving diverse customers effectively
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities to support team collaboration and store operations
- Excellent phone etiquette, customer service skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction accuracy
- Experience with merchandising, stocking, product demos, upselling techniques, and retail sales transactions is preferred
- Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail environments will be advantageous
