Role Description
This is a part-time on-site role for a Licensed Veterinary Technician, based in Brooklyn Heights Brooklyn, NY. The Veterinary Technician will be responsible for managing assistants, training staff and as well as general hospital organization. The Veterinary Technician will assist veterinarians with clinical tasks, including assisting in appointments, preparing animals for surgery, and monitoring anesthesia. They will conduct lab tests, perform diagnostic imaging, and provide hands-on nursing care. Technicians will also assist with client communication, educating pet owners, and maintaining detailed medical records.
Qualifications
Clinical and nursing skills, including administering medications and preparing animals for surgery
Dental digital radiology as well as dental experience preferred
Diagnostic skills, such as performing lab tests and diagnostic imaging
Client communication skills and the ability to educate pet owners
Experience with maintaining detailed medical records
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage a team of assistants and keep the hospital organized
Licensed Veterinary Technician certification required
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
