We're looking for an experienced barista to join our team at Pink Gorilla Kava.
We are a complete coffee shop with a La Marzocco coffee machine, full matcha program, pastries and the entire works. We are also a COMPLETE kava bar (we're happy to train you on that side of the operation as well, but the coffee fundamentals are what matter most.
What we're really looking for is someone who is reliable, works hard, warm, easy to talk to and hospitality-minded.
This isn't the kind of coffee shop where people stand around waiting for the next customer. We stay busy, help each other out, and keep the place looking great at all times.
What matters most:
- Barista experience --> this will be tested so please be honest
- Comfortable working late hours (2-3am)*
- Friendly and confident with customers
- Reliable is extremely important to us. Attendance issues are not acceptable and will result in termination.
- Works well under pressure
- Keeps a clean, organized workspace (enjoys keeping area in order and clean)
We are a small team that have included the auto-18% on top of hourly rate in an effort to get long term, loyal team members who make more money than they could do in any comparable situation. We have been open four months and are already completely packed to the last chair and it will only continue to grow.
The community that attends our place is unique, as you see new people everyday but regulars are more common then any other job. This will work for you if you are okay with working hard, having fun, being reliable, clean and enjoy meeting people.
