Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Chemical Operator to join our team at a large chemical processing facility. This is a dynamic position consisting of challenging assignments in a large chemical processing facility. This position works a 12-hour rotating days to nights (2-2-3 shift) every two weeks.
Responsibilities
- Package & labeling material into specific containers
- Sampling raw and in-process materials
- Performing quality control checks for in-process materials
- Loading and unloading trailers, tankers, and rail cars
- Weighing and charging materials to reactors and treatment vessels
- Packing materials to supersacks, drums, totes, and pails
- Following process by batch ticket
- Handling hazardous & molten materials
Compensation
- Shift Differential ($1.50) - paid regardless of days or nights
- Sign-on Bonus - $1,000.00
- Certified switcher drivers - additional pay provided per hour worked.
- Advancement opportunities - KSA offers advancement opportunities through our operator certification program from field operations to control room operations.
Qualifications
- Experience as a Chemical Operator in a Chemical Manufacturing facility is preferred.
- Working a 12 hour rotating shift.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to certify medically fit to wear a respirator.
- Ability to lift 25lbs - 60lbs between 15-40% of the time, frequently rolling and maneuvering 500 - 550lb drums.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Comfortable with moderate physical demands and frequent lifting.
- Must wear required PPE, including uniforms, hard hat, steel-toe boots, and safety glasses (PPE and uniforms provided by company).
Work Hours:
12 hour (7-7) rotating (days/nights) 2,2,3 shift schedule.
