Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items with precision, consistency, and attention to detail
- Follow established recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards
- Assist with menu planning and suggest new dish ideas based on seasonal ingredients and current trends
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations
- Handle food safely by practicing proper food handling techniques and sanitation procedures
- Support catering orders and special event meal preparations as needed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy hours
Experience
- Previous kitchen experience in a restaurant or food service environment is highly preferred
- Experience working in fine dining establishments is a plus
- Knowledge of dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is beneficial
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques are essential
- Familiarity with menu planning, meal preparation, and food safety standards is required
- Background in the food industry with culinary experience demonstrating versatility across various cuisines is advantageous
