Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Manager to lead our retail team and ensure the smooth operation of our store. Duties
- Lead and supervise daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and shift management
- Recruit, interview, and onboard new team members to build a high-performing retail team
- Provide ongoing training and development to staff to enhance their skills in sales, customer service, and product knowledge
- Oversee inventory management, stock replenishment, and merchandising to ensure an attractive store presentation
- Manage payroll, bookkeeping, and budgeting tasks to maintain financial accuracy and operational efficiency
- Implement sales strategies and marketing initiatives to boost retail sales and achieve revenue targets
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and POS (Point of Sale) systems usage
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail management or supervisory roles with strong leadership capabilities
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability in employee orientation, training & development, and team management
- Proficiency in retail math, pricing strategies, inventory control, and cash handling procedures
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
- Experience with POS systems, purchasing processes, payroll administration, and bookkeeping software
- Strong customer service orientation with exceptional phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining attention to detail
- Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience in a grocery store or similar retail environment is preferred
