Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in a residential care setting. This role offers an engaging opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents by delivering personalized care, ensuring safety, and fostering a warm, supportive environment. The caregiver will work weekdays from 9 AM to 5 PM, totaling 40 hours per week, with a focus on promoting independence, dignity, and well-being for those in our care.
Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Monitor residents’ health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes promptly to healthcare professionals
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist residents during mealtimes to promote proper nutrition and hydration
- Maintain accurate care plans and document all care activities in compliance with HIPAA regulations and facility policies
- Support residents with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer’s care, through engaging activities and consistent routines
- Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to safety protocols
- Perform light cleaning duties to uphold a safe and sanitary environment within the residence or facility
Experience
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism, or cognitive impairments like dementia or Alzheimer’s disease
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and emergency response procedures such as CPR and first aid
- Experience supporting seniors or individuals with intellectual disabilities in long-term or community-based care settings is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills for working collaboratively with healthcare teams, families, and residents’ support networks
