Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items with precision, adhering strictly to recipes and quality standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, fryers, poaching stations, braising pots, and other culinary tools
- Maintain strict food safety and sanitizing procedures to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment
- Assist in food production for high-volume service periods, ensuring timely delivery of orders
- Support menu planning efforts by preparing ingredients and assisting with recipe adherence
- Handle food with care, practicing proper food handling techniques to prevent cross-contamination
- Contribute to the overall cleanliness of the kitchen by following food safety sanitizing procedures and organizing workstations
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service flow and customer satisfaction
Experience
- Experience in fine dining or high-volume restaurant environments demonstrates strong culinary skills and adaptability
- Proven background in food preparation
- Familiarity with operating commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures is essential
- Hands-on experience with food handling, catering, or large-scale food production projects is preferred
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in recipe adherence are advantageous for success in this role
