Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patient health by checking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA privacy regulations
- Operate mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts and assist with transfers safely and comfortably
- Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, patient observations, and any incidents or changes in condition
- Support clients with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer’s through memory care techniques and engagement activities
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans
- Provide emotional support and companionship to foster a positive environment for clients
Qualifications
- Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly desirable
- Certification in CPR and First Aid required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training preferred
- Strong patient observation skills with the ability to recognize changes in health status promptly
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or dementia is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and vital signs monitoring
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills and a respectful approach to client independence
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred for travel between client locations

Pay: $12.00 - $12.50 per hour
