Position Overview
Providence Church Academy is seeking a dedicated and engaging 6th Grade Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. This teacher will instruct students across multiple subject areas while creating a supportive, faith-filled classroom environment that encourages academic growth, responsibility, and Christian character.
Responsibilities
- Teach multiple core subjects to 6th grade students in a multi-subject classroom setting
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons that support student learning and critical thinking
- Integrate biblical principles and Christian values throughout instruction and daily interactions
- Create a structured and encouraging classroom culture that promotes respect, responsibility, and growth
- Communicate regularly with parents to support student success both at school and at home
- Assess student progress and adapt instruction to meet varying academic needs
- Encourage students spiritually, academically, and socially during an important stage of development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related teaching experience preferred
- Strong Christian faith and agreement with the mission and values of the school
- Passion for working with upper elementary and middle school students
- Strong communication, classroom management, and organizational skills
- Experience teaching multiple subjects or working in small-group settings preferred
