Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Heavy Duty Diesel Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of heavy-duty diesel engines, trucks, and equipment. Your expertise will ensure our clients’ fleets operate safely and efficiently, supporting their business success every day.
Duties
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes, shocks, steering and HVAC systems using schematics and technical manuals
- Conduct preventive maintenance including oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and fluid checks to keep equipment running smoothly
- Fabricate and modify parts or components using power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and hand tools as needed
- Repair heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, industrial equipment, and tractor-trailers
- Utilize automotive diagnostics tools to troubleshoot electrical systems and mechanical issues with precision
- Maintain detailed service records and complete all necessary documentation for repairs performed
- Assist with assembly of new equipment or parts when required for customer projects
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Heavy Duty Diesel Technician or similar role within a dealership or fleet maintenance environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, suspension systems, HVAC systems, and electrical components
- Ability to read schematics accurately and interpret technical manuals for troubleshooting complex issues
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and other maintenance tools
- Experience with heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts or similar machinery is highly desirable
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently in various work environments

Pay: $30.08 - $45.00 per hour
