Ladd Supply Company has been a family owned and operating construction materials sales business since 1956. We are growing and looking to add highly motivated inside sales team to our newly opened location in Pensacola, FL. We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Inside Sales Representative to join our dynamic sales team.
Role Details:
- Ensures quality customer service through personal interaction with contractor and retail customers.
- Work with customers during ordering process by pricing, entering orders and scheduling pickup or delivery
- Making cold calls to prospective customers
- Works with outside sales to keep account activities and literature up to date.
- Procures and maintains inventory. Monitors to ensure proper inventory turns.
- Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's and supplier's production and delivery schedules.
- Following up with customers and providing solutions, should a service concern arise
- Connecting with customers to ensure that past due bills are paid and collect payments when necessary
- As needed assist with local deliveries in company vehicle
Specific qualifications include:
- Proficient in English; knowledge of Spanish is an advantage but not required. .
- A self-starter attitude with strong organizational skills and attention to detail is crucial for success in this role.
- High School Diploma/GED Required
- Minimum 1 year sales experience preferred but not required
- Specific industry knowledge, including both familiarity with product lines and the overall building contractor process, is preferred but not required
- Must have valid driver’s license, own reliable transportation, be able to pass MVR check, and vehicle insurance must meet company’s requirements
