Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately.
- Manage medication inventory, including ordering, stock rotation, and proper storage to ensure medication safety and regulatory compliance.
- Enter patient data into pharmacy software systems with precision, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data entry protocols.
- Support patient service activities by answering questions, providing medication information, and facilitating medication administration under supervision.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws, drug regulation standards, and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements at all times.
- Perform pharmaceutical calculations accurately for dosage for medication administration, and other clinical needs.
- Maintain meticulous records following our community pharmacy policies.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a pharmacy technician in retail preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacological medical terminology, and acute care procedures is essential.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems for data entry and medication management is necessary.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient care and maintaining patient confidentiality are vital.
- Ability to interpret state healthcare regulations, drug laws, and community pharmacy policies effectively.
