Aspen Creek Outdoor School (ACOS) at Chapel Rock Camp and Conference Center is currently hiring outdoor educators to help out during our Fall 2026 season! ACOS is a residential field trip program that offers science and leadership camp to elementary, middle, and junior high school students. Educators are responsible for the delivery of all science and leadership programming with an emphasis on providing a safe and fun, learning experience to all visiting students, chaperones, and teachers. This is a part-time seasonal job lasting through December 16th, 2026. This job is typically Monday - Thursday and ranges from 15-35/hours per week depending on availability. Opportunities for additional work in the evenings and weekends on the challenge/ropes course are often available. While candidates that have relevant experience are encouraged to apply, we also hire people with the right attitude and willingness to learn. We do not have staff housing on our camp.
Required Qualifications:
- Clean record and ability to pass a background check
- Willingness to work outside in all conditions (snow, wind, rain, sunshine) and ability to be on your feet and walk up to ~4 miles/day
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working with youth
- Passion for science and the natural world
- Experience participating in and/or facilitating team building
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
