We are looking for 6-8 individuals in the Erie, Edinboro, & Girard, PA area to join our team at Traffic Safety Solutions.
Qualifications
- Ability to pass a drug screen (including marijuana) no exception
- Valid Driver License & clean driving record
- ATSSA Certification (American Traffic Safety Services Association) preferred but not required, company will train
Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain traffic control zones using cones, signs, and barriers to guide vehicles and pedestrians safely around construction sites.
- Flag traffic with flagging devices to ensure safe passage through work zones.
- Assist with construction activities including paving, utility locating, and site preparation to support ongoing project progress.
- Monitor work zones for safety hazards, enforce safety protocols, and communicate effectively with team members and drivers.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and work areas to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Setting up all jobs in a safe and efficient manner following MUTCD standards.
- Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and management while keeping a positive and respectful relationship with everyone; including contractors and the general public.
- Wear all required PPE, work in all weather conditions, while following all company policies & procedures.
Experience
- Prior experience working on construction sites or in traffic control roles is highly preferred.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety and efficiency.
- Strong communication skills along with a proactive approach are important for success in this energetic position. Pay: $15.00 - $16.75 per hour
