Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, present menus confidently, and provide detailed descriptions of food and beverage options to enhance their experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted and processed efficiently
- Serve food and beverages promptly, including cocktails, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic drinks, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Process sales transactions accurately, handle cash or credit card payments, and give correct change while adhering to cash handling procedures
- Upsell menu items such as premium drinks or desserts to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring guest satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning service areas, and following food safety protocols
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, supporting overall restaurant operations during busy hours
Skills
- Proven experience in food service roles within restaurants or the food industry, including fine dining or nightclub environments
- Strong knowledge of POS systems like Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for efficient order processing and sales management
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and handle guest relations professionally
- Knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine, cocktail preparation, and drink presentation techniques
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively with strong time management skills during high-volume periods
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
- Food safety certification knowledge along with experience in food handling, sanitation, and proper food preparation techniques
