Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements, ensuring a smooth flow of service from arrival to departure
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, processing sales transactions efficiently
- Serve food and beverages promptly, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately while processing payments through POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms
- Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
Requirements
- Previous food service experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine, and drink pairings
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for processing transactions and managing tabs
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices in the food industry
- Experience with fine dining or upscale restaurant settings is a plus
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
