Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items efficiently, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards and presentation expectations
- Assist with menu planning by preparing ingredients and suggesting improvements based on culinary best practices
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by following proper handling, storage, and cleaning procedures
- Support kitchen operations during busy morning hours, including food prep, plating, and portion control
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow and timely meal delivery
- Handle food with care, demonstrating excellent knife skills and food preparation techniques
- Contribute to catering events or special meal services as needed, supporting overall food service excellence
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant kitchens or culinary environments, especially in fine dining settings
- Strong knowledge of food handling safety protocols and sanitation standards
- Skilled in food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly
- Experience with dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus
- Familiarity with menu planning, catering, and serving in a high-volume setting
- Excellent knife skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Prior kitchen experience within the food industry or hospitality sector preferred
