Local drywall company is in search of a strong candidate to join our growing family! We are seeking to add a new motivated, out-going team member to our safety department in the Raleigh, NC market. Sears Contract, Inc. is a specialty subcontractor with a focus on commercial metal stud framing, drywall, and related scopes of work. The ideal candidate will initially be leading safety efforts on a specific jobsite. This career path will require the candidate to work in a team environment to maintain project safety requirements, as well as work collaboratively with both field and office staff. Responsibilities to include but not limited to:
- Provide on-site safety evaluations and inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and to minimize safety risks.
- Investigate accidents/safety violations to determine causes and/or how to prevent future incidents and to record all pertinent information.
- Work closely with field supervisors and managers to monitor and to identify safety hazards and/or issues.
- Inspect and evaluate worksites, equipment, and practices.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience with OSHA requirements for Construction
- OSHA 30
- Current First Aid and CPR Certifications
- Excellent organization skills, with the ability to manage time and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
- Capability to think outside the box and is easily adaptable to an ever changing environment
- Effective communicator, oral and written
- Positive can-do attitude
- Team oriented
- A desire to continually learn and improve, personally, professionally, and as an organization.
