Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and friendly Barista to join our vibrant café team! Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and care.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Engage with customers warmly, providing excellent customer service and answering questions about menu items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas.
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and perform cashiering duties with accuracy using POS systems.
- Follow food safety protocols, including proper food handling, preparation, and sanitation standards.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and smooth operations.
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience or background in coffee service is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Square.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and enthusiastically.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and transaction processing.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours.
