Position Title: Porter Reports To: Director of Maintenance

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The Porter is responsible for maintaining cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the building
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
- Sweep, mop, and wax floors throughout the facility
- Sweep in front and around the building, garden, and parking lot
- Clean bathrooms, windows, elevators and other areas that may require cleaning
- Empty and maintain garbage areas to be clean and orderly
- Responsible for snow removal during winter months
- Receive deliveries, lift boxes, and deliver them to the appropriate area of the facility
- Move and relocate furniture throughout the facility
- Assist families in moving in and out of facilities
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and orderliness, if required
- Handle food in an appropriate manner following state and city regulations if required
- In the event of an emergency, Essential Employees are required to report to work as scheduled
- Duties and responsibilities are subject to change based upon assessment of company needs
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- One year of experience in housekeeping preferred
- Must be able to interact effectively with the facility staff and client population
- Must be capable of heavy lifting at least 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
- Must be able to cover coworkers shifts during vacation time and other events
- Bilingual – English/Spanish plus
