Job Summary
New Dia Cannabis Co., located in the heart of Boston's iconic Fenway Park district, is redefining cannabis retail as the East Coast's first cannabis mall. We are seeking a motivated, dependable, and service-driven Team Lead to support daily store operations and help create an exceptional experience for both guests and employees.
The Team Lead serves as the floor leader during assigned shifts, ensuring the store operates smoothly, safely, and in full compliance with company policies and Massachusetts cannabis regulations. This role is responsible for directing Budtender workflow, supporting guest interactions, resolving operational issues, maintaining cash accountability, and providing real-time coaching to team members. The ideal candidate leads by example, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about developing people while delivering outstanding customer experiences.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily floor operations and serve as the primary point of contact during assigned shifts.
- Open and close the store according to company procedures.
- Direct Budtender workflow to ensure efficient customer service and operational execution.
- Deliver exceptional guest experiences by assisting with escalated customer concerns and supporting sales floor activity.
- Provide real-time coaching, feedback, and development to Budtenders and support staff.
- Document employee performance, attendance, policy violations, and behavioral concerns when necessary.
- Maintain accurate cash handling procedures, drawer counts, deposits, and reconciliations.
- Troubleshoot POS, transaction, and operational issues as they arise.
- Monitor compliance with company policies, security procedures, and Massachusetts cannabis regulations.
- Ensure store cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards are consistently maintained.
- Communicate operational updates, priorities, and concerns to the management team.
- Support training initiatives and reinforce New Día's culture, values, and service expectations.
Skills
- Previous leadership experience in retail, hospitality, cannabis, or other customer-focused environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coach and motivate others.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience handling cash, reconciliations, and operational procedures.
- Comfortable learning and utilizing POS and retail technology systems.
- Demonstrated ability to hold team members accountable while maintaining a positive work environment.
- Reliable, professional, and able to lead by example.
- Must meet all Massachusetts cannabis industry employment requirements.

Pay: $22.50 per hour
