Quality Technician
Location: Greensboro, NC
Position Type: Hourly
Overview:
The Quality Technician is responsible for supporting Camco’s quality assurance processes by coordinating Asia supplier quality inspections, maintaining quality documentation and systems, and providing daily support for Incoming Quality Control (IQC) operations in Greensboro. This position serves as a key liaison between Asia quality teams and U.S. operations to ensure products meet quality standards prior to and upon receipt.
Responsibilities:

Conduct daily audits of Asia inbound inspection reports for all sites to ensure compliance with company quality standards.

Provide daily support and resources to Asia quality inspection teams to promote 100% quality acceptance of products received by Camco USA.

Review, prepare, and communicate Nonconformance Material Reports (NMRs) and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) responses with Asia suppliers and quality teams.

Create, update, and revise work instructions, quality procedures, and related documentation for Asia quality teams as needed.

Assist with quality document control, distribution, retention, and management for Asia operations.

Develop and maintain quality-related instructional notes and guidance within Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365)

Maintain quality-related tables, records, and lists within D365 to ensure data accuracy and system integrity.

Support continuous improvement of quality processes through documentation, data analysis, and standardized work practices

Provide daily support for all Incoming Quality Control activities at the Greensboro (GSO) facility.

Maintain readiness to perform and support IQC inspection functions during staffing shortages, absences, or increased workload demands.

Partner with the Greensboro Receiving team to investigate and resolve product lot receipt discrepancies and related quality concerns.

Assist with incoming inspection processes, product evaluations, and disposition activities as required.

Provide satellite quality assurance support to the Landmark facility as needed.

Assist in the maintenance of quality inspection instruments, calibration programs, and gauging systems to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Support quality initiatives, audits, and continuous improvement efforts across facilities.
Qualifications:

Associate degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.

Experience in quality assurance, quality control, manufacturing, or supplier quality preferred.

Working knowledge of quality systems, inspection methods, CAPA processes, and document control practices.

Experience using ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with domestic and international teams.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Perform other duties as assigned to support Quality Assurance, Operations, and overall business objectives.
