Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to lead our manufacturing operations and ensure the efficient, safe, and high-quality production of goods. This pivotal role involves overseeing daily production activities, managing cross-functional teams, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, expertise in production management systems, and a comprehensive understanding of lean manufacturing principles. Duties
- Supervise daily production activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and production schedules.
- Coordinate with planning teams to develop and execute detailed production schedules using ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems such as SAP.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing methodologies like Lean management and Six Sigma to enhance process efficiency and reduce waste.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production throughput, quality control, and supply chain management; analyze data using tools like Microsoft Excel for informed decision-making.
- Manage and develop manufacturing teams through effective team leadership, cross-functional communication, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee inventory levels and material flow using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
- Drive process improvements by analyzing manufacturing workflows, implementing best practices in assembly and operations management.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to uphold stringent quality control standards across all production phases.
- Facilitate communication between departments including supply chain, engineering, and maintenance to support plant management objectives.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in production management within a manufacturing environment; prior supervisory experience is highly preferred.
- Strong familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or equivalent; proficient in MRP systems for production planning.
- Demonstrated expertise in lean manufacturing principles, process improvement techniques, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Proficiency in data analysis using Microsoft Excel; ability to interpret complex data sets for operational insights.
- Knowledge of supply chain analytics, supply chain management, and logistics coordination.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Effective cross-functional communication skills across diverse departments including operations, quality control, and engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with manufacturing management systems and plant management best practices.
