Medical Staff Coordinator (Flexible 1099 Contract Role!)

If so, you might be our next Medical Staff Coordinator.
This is a 1099 contractor role reporting to our Director of Contracts & Credentialing. No direct supervision of others — just you, your expertise, and the flexibility to work remotely on your own time.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be the behind‑the‑scenes hero who keeps our medical staff operations running like a well‑oiled machine. Your work ensures our providers are fully credentialed, privileged, compliant, and ready to deliver exceptional care.
Here’s what your days (or nights!) may include:
- Managing inital privileging and reappointments for physicians and allied health professionals
- Coordinating privileging for our ASCs and supporting hospital privilege applications
- Keeping provider files and databases accurate, organized, and up to date
- Tracking licenses, DEA, board certifications, insurance, and all those fun expiration dates
- Supporting peer review documentation and prepping for medical staff committee meetings
- Ensuring we stay aligned with CMS, Quad A, Joint Commission, AAAHC, and other regulatory standards
- Communicating with providers, hospitals, and internal teams
- Conducting audits to ensure files are complete and compliant
- Protecting confidentiality like a pro
- Jumping in on other credentialing or medical staff tasks as needed
What You Bring
- High School diploma or GED required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Healthcare or Business preferred
- At least 1-3 years of medical staff services and/or credentialing experience
- Experience with privileging, provider enrollment, and accreditation standards (bonus points for Quad A or Joint Commission)
- Background in an ASC, hospital, medical practice, or managed care environment is a plus
Certifications That Make You Shine
- CPCS or CPMSM preferred — but not required if your experience speaks for itself

Work Environment
- Fully remote — work from home,

- Occasional onsite meetings or audits may pop up
Pay: $24.42 - $29.41 per hour
