General Overview:
The Lead Generation Specialist (LGS) is an inside telemarketing position. The individual in this position will contact prospects and customers in order to identify opportunities for the sales of ZAMCO products and services. This is an inside telemarketing position that will be located in our corporate offices. The LGS is a generalist position and will not have an assigned geographic territory or vertical market segment. This is a newly created position and the ideal candidate will be a visionary that is comfortable working in a fast-paced, small company environment. This is a first shift or ‘8 to 5’ job with a quota commensurate with experience and the needs of the business.
Specific Initiatives:
- Cold Calling and Prospecting using telephone, mail and email
- Teaming with Field Sales to qualify and schedule appointments
- Self-directed prospecting and qualifying activities including mail , email and social media
- Target Market Program Calls
- Project and Event Marketing Activities
- Trade Show and Meeting Follow-up
- Cross-Selling and Up-Selling
Primary Target Markets:
ZAMCO has customers in every state and in every vertical. However, our primary marketing activities will focus on the following segments:
- Grocery
- Convenience Stores
- Healthcare
- Insurance
- Mail Order, Catalog, eCommerce
- Non-Profit and Charities
Sales Process Responsibilities:
The LGS will also be responsible for other standard business activities such as:
- Maintaining activity logs, capturing prospect history, and weekly opportunity reporting in our CRM
- Contract and agreement preparation
- Proposal Pricing and deal construction
- Database Maintenance
- Database updates and additions
- General Market Research and Competitive Intelligence
General Candidate Requirements:
Previous sales, or telemarketing experience is required. The ideal candidate will be an articulate, self-starter with a desire for personal and professional growth. A desire to learn and continually invest in your knowledge of the industry and the selling arts will be an important factor in your success at ZAMCO. Candidates must be effective communicating in writing, face-to-face and over the phone. Attention to detail is extremely important. Candidates with a strong record of accomplishment in telemarketing and lead generation with a detailed understanding of the complex sales process will have an advantage in this position.
Specific Skills:
LGS should have excellent phone skills and a desire to make phone calls every day. Additional skills include:
- Prospect-list management skills are required.
- Focused time management and a sense of urgency are important traits.
- Successful lead generation and qualification techniques.
- Complete comfort with cold calling and prospecting are an absolute skill set requirement.
- The ability to discover and qualify opportunities from assigned lists of prospects
- Move prospects through our sales process will yield significant results.
- Reporting, tracking and updating our CRM database are also required skills.
- Payments or financial services industry experience is an advantage.
