Job Overview
Valley View School is seeking a dependable and caring Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming campus environment. This position supports the daily operations of our therapeutic boarding school community by cleaning academic, residential, dining, gym, administrative, and general-use spaces. Valley View School is a small, relationship-based therapeutic boarding school in Central Massachusetts serving boys ages 10–15. For more than five decades, we have helped students rediscover confidence, connection, and purpose through a highly structured and compassionate community. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a school setting. Prior housekeeping experience is helpful but not required.
Responsibilities
● Vacuum and dust administrative areas, academic buildings, gymnasium, dining room, and general-use spaces
● Clean and maintain bathrooms daily
● Assist with overall cleanliness of the school facility as needed
● Clean walls, woodwork, and floors in dormitory rooms during school vacations
● Clean hallways and general-use areas
● Shampoo carpets throughout the facility as needed
● Perform other related tasks as assigned
Qualifications
● Dependable and trustworthy
● Comfortable working around students and staff in a school setting
● Strong attention to detail
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team
● Prior housekeeping or custodial experience preferred, but not required

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
