About the Role:

We are a growing Custom Materials and Automotive Services manufacturer seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead our 1st Shift operations. In this role, you will oversee daily production activities, ensure a safe and efficient work environment, develop employees, and partner with leadership to meet quality, productivity, and customer expectations.
This position is ideal for a leader who enjoys coaching employees, solving problems, improving processes, and creating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Schedule:

Monday – Thursday | 6:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Occasional Fridays as needed to support customer demand.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise daily production operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.

Direct, coach, and develop a team of 20+ production employees and team leads.

Drive employee engagement, accountability, and a positive team culture.

Monitor production schedules and workflow to maximize efficiency while minimizing downtime.

Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA standards.

Maintain product quality by enforcing ISO Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.

Identify production challenges and implement effective solutions to improve performance.

Coordinate staffing, training, cross-training, and employee development initiatives.

Conduct performance evaluations, coaching sessions, and corrective actions when necessary.

Partner with Quality, Maintenance, Shipping, Engineering, and other departments to meet production objectives.

Analyze production metrics and utilize data to drive continuous improvement.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment (5S principles).

Support lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous process improvements.
Qualifications:

Previous supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing environment required.

Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop production teams.

Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety practices, and quality systems.

Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.

Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).

Experience with ERP/MRP systems is a plus.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

High level of accountability, professionalism, and decision-making ability.
