Position: High School Elective ELA/Math Teacher
Job Type: Part-time
Expected Hours: 20 per week
About the Job:
Our school is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Elective ELA/Math Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of historical content, a love for teaching, and the ability to inspire students to engage with the past in meaningful ways. This is an on-site, in-person teaching role.
Instructional Hours:
Monday – Friday, 3:30 PM – 8:00 PM
Responsibilities:
- Teach high school Elective ELA/Math classes including Creative Writing, ELA, High School Math, Speech, or computer programming.
- Develop and implement engaging, standards-based lesson plans
- Evaluate student performance through various assessments and provide timely, constructive feedback
- Create a supportive classroom environment that fosters critical thinking and discussion
- Collaborate with fellow faculty on curriculum development and interdisciplinary initiatives
- Attend department meetings, school functions, and professional development sessions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in ELA, Math or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Strong command of teaching strategies
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills
- Experience teaching high school students is highly preferred
