We are seeking a skilled and collaborative Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our established machinery dealership. In this role, you will diagnose, service, and repair a diverse fleet ranging from small compact equipment to large earthmoving machines. - Diagnostics & Repair: Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, powertrain, and electrical systems on both compact and large construction machinery.
- Routine Maintenance: Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, fluid changes, and system flushes to maximize equipment safety and reliability.
- Component Overhauls: Assist in rebuilding or replacing complex assemblies, including hydraulic pumps, engines, and undercarriage tracks.
- Team Collaboration: Partner with parts specialists and shop management to streamline repairs and ensure fast machine turnaround times.
- Safety Compliance: Maintain a clean, organized workspace and strictly adhere to all company safety standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven Experience: Demonstrated history of working on diverse construction equipment (e.g., excavators, skid steers, wheel loaders).
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of diesel engines, advanced hydraulics, electronic systems, and schematic reading.
- Tool Requirements: Possession of standard mechanic's hand tools appropriate for heavy equipment repair.
- Core Mindset: Strong team-player attitude with excellent problem-solving skills and a clear pride in workmanship.
- License: Valid driver's license.
