Job Overview
We’re looking for a dependable, hard-working individual to join our small, dedicated team. This is a hands-on position where you’ll be involved in all aspects of daily operations — from meat cutting and patty-making to packaging and customer service. No previous experience in a meat environment is required. Ideal candidates are eager to learn, take pride in their work, and enjoy working in a friendly, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Cut, trim, and prepare a variety of meats according to customer specifications and store standards
- Operate equipment such as knives, saws, grinders, slicers, and patty machines
- Assist with animal processing on the slaughter floor
- Wrap, label, and stock meat products for retail sale
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the meat prep and sales areas
- Provide excellent customer service - answer questions, take special orders, and offer suggestions (this knowledge is not needed to start; you can learn on the job)
- Assist with inventory, restocking, and general store duties as needed
Qualifications
- Prior experience in meat cutting or a butcher shop is helpful, but not required - we’re willing to train the right person
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Reliability and a strong work ethic are a must
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
