Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Quality Control Technician to join our modular home manufacturing team. This role is responsible for ensuring all homes and components produced in our facility meet company quality standards, customer expectations, engineering specifications, and applicable building/RV codes before shipment and installation.
The ideal candidate has construction or manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with production teams to identify and correct quality issues throughout the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform quality inspections throughout all phases of modular/tiny home production including:
- Framing
- Electrical
- Plumbing
- HVAC
- Interior finishes
- Exterior finishes
- Final assembly
- Verify work complies with company standards, engineering drawings, production specifications, and applicable building/RV codes.
- Identify defects, deficiencies, and workmanship issues and communicate corrective actions to production supervisors and team members.
- Maintain detailed inspection reports, punch lists, and quality documentation.
- Conduct final pre-shipment inspections to ensure units are ready for transportation and customer delivery.
- Assist in developing and improving quality control procedures and checklists.
- Monitor material quality and report damaged or non-conforming products.
- Work collaboratively with production, engineering, and service departments to resolve recurring issues.
- Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the facility.
- Support warranty reduction efforts through proactive inspection and process improvement.
Qualifications
- Experience in construction, modular manufacturing, RV manufacturing, or industrial quality control preferred.
- Strong understanding of residential construction methods and systems.
- Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and production specifications.
- Familiarity with building codes, RVIA standards, or modular construction regulations is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with basic computer programs and digital inspection reporting tools preferred.

- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
