Kitchen Team Member
Duties:
- Assist with food preparation (e.g. cleaning and chopping of vegetables, washing rice and dals, stirring food as required) and cooking as needed.
- Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the establishment.
-Develop ability to use dough making machine and roti making machine.
-Packing, labeling and serving food as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including washing dishes, utensils, plastic containers and equipment.
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met at all times.
- Help with maintaining cleanliness in the dining area, including wipe downs and sweeping and mopping.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operation of the kitchen.
-Maintain a professional and pleasant attitude with staff, management, and customers.
-Assist kitchen manager by reporting low inventory.
Experience:
- Previous experience in an Indian kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from superiors.
- Culinary training or education is a plus but not necessary.
