The HR Generalist is a highly visible and interactive member of the HR team, supporting daily operations, colleague experience, compliance, safety, and HR initiatives. This role serves as a trusted resource for colleagues and leaders while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and operational excellence.
- Support culture initiatives including engagement, recognition, wellness, and appreciation
- Coordinate compliance training and track completion
- Manage work injury and illness reporting and documentation
- Administer workers’ compensation claims
- Maintain OSHA logs and ensure workplace safety compliance
- Coordinate safety committee initiatives
- Track employee certifications and licenses
- Reconcile benefit invoices and support annual enrollment
- Respond to unemployment claims
- Maintain accurate HR data and records
- Support training and development initiatives
- Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and support
- Assist with HR projects and daily operations as assigned
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required with strong verbal and written communication skills in both
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
- Exceptional organizational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
- Familiarity with HR best practices, labor laws, and employee relations preferred
- Experience supporting safety, training, employee relations, or HR operations preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and tools like Canva
- Experience with HRIS systems preferred
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the day
- Ability to occasionally lift or move moderate weight
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of HR experience preferred, ideally in hospitality or service-focused environment
