The Nashua Adult Learning Center is seeking an enthusiastic, relationship-driven Development Director to lead and expand our fundraising efforts. This is an exciting opportunity to join a respected nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering children, youth, and adults through education, workforce development, childcare, and community-based programs.
The Development Director will play a key leadership role in securing philanthropic support, cultivating donor relationships, increasing community engagement, and helping sustain and grow programs that change lives every day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement annual fundraising strategies and revenue goals.
- Cultivate, solicit, and steward individual donors, corporate sponsors, foundations, and community partners.
- Grow annual giving, major gifts, sponsorships, and special fundraising initiatives.
- Plan and lead fundraising events, including ALC's signature annual benefit.
- Build meaningful relationships with donors and stakeholders throughout the Greater Nashua community.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, staff, and volunteers to advance fundraising priorities.
- Track donor activity, analyze fundraising results, and maintain donor records.
- Support marketing and communication efforts that highlight ALC's mission and impact.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven success in fundraising, business development, sales, marketing, or relationship management.
- Strong communication, networking, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with donors, businesses, and community leaders.
- Experience with fundraising or donor management software preferred.
- Knowledge of the Greater Nashua philanthropic and business community is a plus.
- Passion for education, workforce development, and strengthening our community.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (some evening and weekend events required)
