Job Overview:
As an Emergency Veterinary Client Service Representative, you will be the first point of contact for clients and their pets during stressful and urgent situations. You will play a crucial role in providing outstanding customer service, managing incoming calls, educating clients, going over estimates, and assisting with administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the clinic. Responsibilities:
- Client Communication: Greet clients and their pets.
- Phone Management: Answer incoming calls and triaging emergencies.
- Client Registration: Collect and verify client information, collect medical history, explain treatment plans, estimates, and billing information.
- Financial Transactions: Process payments and invoices.
- Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and inventory management.
- Client Education: Provide basic information on pet care, medication administration, and post-treatment instructions as directed by veterinary staff.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and support staff to facilitate seamless communication and workflow within the clinic.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal care facility is preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations with empathy and professionalism
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with veterinary software systems
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
