Supply Chain Supervisor
Job description
Alamo Biologics, headquartered in NW San Antonio, Texas, is a distributor of high-quality tissue allografts to physicians, dentists, hospitals, surgical clinics, and tissue banks.
We are seeking a full-time Supply Chain Supervisor for our company. We are located near I-10 and DeZavala. This position reports to the CFO.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or similar field. Or equivalent experience.
Experience: 10 or more years of experience in manufacturing in a leadership role or 4 or more years of experience in supply chain management. Must have working knowledge of PC software applications using Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, and other software programs as required.
Salary: Negotiable based on experience
Hours: Mon.-Fri. - 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Knowledge:
- Experience as a supply chain manager or in a similar field, excellent knowledge of supply chain processes, working experience of relevant software, strong communication skills, excellent organizational and project management skills, attention to detail, creative problem-solving and a strategic and analytical mind.
- Must maintain knowledge of and perform according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies. Must maintain knowledge of cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) requirements.
- Must maintain knowledge of applicable industry standards, including but not limited to AATB, FDA, and ISO.
Skills:
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Operations, Finance, and Sales, to create effective business plans, so teamwork skills are important.
- Should have experience in project management, as well as great leadership and communication ability.
Abilities: Must be professional, detail oriented, self-motivated, innovative, creative, assertive, organized, communicative, and have the ability to work independently. Must be a self-starter and self-directed worker. Must maintain a good working rapport with all departments and able to keep information confidential. Must be neat in appearance and well groomed.
Essential Duties:
- Create the company’s supply chain strategy.
- Order supplies/parts/equipment and stock lab as needed.
- Accept deliveries, inspect conditions of items, and verify packing lists.
- Maintain supply chain inventory and records.
