Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
- Take and develop dental X-rays
- Perform dental charting and maintain accurate patient records
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office calendar
- Perform dental receptionist duties, including answering phone calls and managing patient inquiries
- Use dental software systems (e.g., Eaglesoft) to update patient information and schedule appointments
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a dental assisting program or equivalent experience
- X-Ray certification
- Proficiency in using dental software systems (e.g., Eaglesoft)
- Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control protocols
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with patients and colleagues
- Familiarity with medical imaging, CAD, and medical records systems is a plus
-Coronal polishing certification required; candidates currently obtaining certification will also be considered.
