Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations at our bustling restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of food service management, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves supporting the management team in maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and service while fostering a positive environment for staff and guests alike. Prior experience in fast-paced dining settings, including casual, fine dining, or catering environments, is highly valued.
Duties
- Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including shift management and staff supervision
- Oversee food preparation processes ensuring quality and safety standards are met
- Manage inventory control and food safety compliance to minimize waste and ensure freshness
- Supervise staff training, development, and performance evaluations to promote a high-performing team
- Handle customer service issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction
- Oversee POS systems for accurate cash handling and order processing
- Coordinate with kitchen staff on food production and catering.
- Assist with budgeting, cost control, and overall food management strategies
- Ensure adherence to health regulations and food safety standards across all operational areas
Experience
- Proven management experience within the food service industry, ideally in quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining settings
- Supervising experience with a focus on team management and training & development
- Strong background in food preparation, kitchen management, and hospitality management
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Experience with inventory control, budgeting, and food safety protocols
- Previous roles involving restaurant management, shift management, or culinary supervision are highly desirable
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and improve operational efficiency
- Background in hospitality is a plus but not required
