Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving production equipment and facility systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, including extensive experience with AC/DC systems, PLCs, motors, drives, hydraulics, pneumatics, automation controls, and high- and low-voltage equipment.
This position plays a critical role in maximizing equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesEquipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation-related issues on manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot AC/DC electrical systems, motors, motor controls, relays, contactors, sensors, switches, and electrical panels.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting of PLC-controlled equipment, including Allen Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms.
- Troubleshoot and repair VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), HMIs, servo motors, and automated systems.
- Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including cylinders, valves, pumps, regulators, and actuators.
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and production interruptions.
Electrical & Controls
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems ranging from 24VDC controls to 480VAC industrial power systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and PLC logic documentation.
- Troubleshoot control circuits, instrumentation, sensors, photo-eyes, safety circuits, and electronic components.
- Assist with equipment upgrades, automation projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Mechanical Maintenance
- Repair and replace bearings, belts, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, rollers, pumps, conveyors, and mechanical assemblies.
- Perform precision alignments, equipment setup, and machine adjustments.
- Conduct welding, fabrication, and equipment modifications as needed.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures safely and consistently.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas.
- Support safety initiatives and actively participate in plant safety programs.
Documentation & Continuous Improvement
- Complete maintenance work orders and document repairs within CMMS systems.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment history.
- Identify root causes of recurring equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
- Support reliability and continuous improvement programs to reduce downtime and improve operational efficiency.
QualificationsRequired Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong troubleshooting experience with:
- AC/DC electrical systems
- High-voltage and low-voltage equipment
- PLC-controlled machinery
- Hydraulic systems
- Pneumatic systems
- Motors and motor controls
- Conveyors and packaging equipment
- Automation and control systems
Technical Skills
- Working knowledge of:
- PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, etc.)
- Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
- HMIs and automated production equipment
- Electrical testing equipment (multimeters, megohmmeters, amp meters)
- Industrial electrical systems up to 480V
- Hydraulic and pneumatic schematics
- Mechanical power transmission systems
Education & Certifications
- Technical degree, trade school certification, or equivalent industrial maintenance experience preferred.
- Electrical, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or related certification preferred.
- OSHA, NFPA 70E, PLC training, or electrical certifications are a plus.
Pay: $35.00 - $36.50 per hour
