Jasair Transport Inc is seeking a reliable full-time Driver to safely deliver packages while delivering dependable service on every route.
Position Summary
The Driver is responsible for operating a company vehicle safely, efficiently, and professionally. This role involves completing scheduled trips, following traffic and safety regulations, and maintaining accurate records to support timely, accurate deliveries or transportation services. In this on-site position at 2290 S. Canal Rd, Lansing, MI 48917, you will represent the company in the field through respectful communication, strong route awareness, and consistent adherence to safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly, following all traffic laws and internal policies
- Complete assigned routes and deliveries/transport tasks according to schedules and time requirements
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any vehicle issues or maintenance needs
- Maintain accurate logs, including trip documentation and any required delivery/transport records
- Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers as needed to coordinate schedules and resolve route-related issues
Required Qualifications
- Valid Chauffeur's license and ability to meet company driving requirements
- Safe driving record and the ability to drive consistently in different traffic and weather conditions
- Ability to lift, move, and handle items as required by job duties (as applicable)
- Strong time management skills and the ability to follow routes, instructions, and schedules
- Clear communication skills and professionalism while interacting with others on the road and at locations
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior driving experience in a transportation, delivery, or logistics environment
- Familiarity with basic route planning and navigation practices to optimize travel time
- Experience in completing inspection checklists and maintaining basic driving/trip documentation
- Comfortable working independently and staying focused during long drives or repetitive routes
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, reliability, and customer service standards
Pay: $150.00 - $165.00 per day
