Family-owned since 1963, Sons Metal Stamping is a quality driven, service-oriented supplier of metal stamping throughout the United States, Mexico, China, and all around the world. We pride ourselves on doing the job right the first time, and on time. Our 50,000-square foot facility provides quality metal tooling, machining, and assembly. Our normal production quantities are from prototype to 100,000 pieces annually in all cold punching materials from .005 to .250 thick, including plastics. Our tonnage capacity is 5 to 200 ton with 65 presses. Maintaining high quality standards, we’re also a company that still delivers a personal touch in all our services. Tool Maker - HIRING 2 ASAP

Duties and Responsibilities
- Guide / train apprentice tool makers
- Repair, address, and/or delegate build or repair
- Implement tooling and process improvements
- Maintain a list of priorities and deliver based on need
- Specify and order materials, maintain stock, etc
- Guide design in tool layout and execution
- Diagnose process flaws and outline correction
- Assist in assembly and disassembly of tooling components according to engineering drawings and specifications
- Operate and maintain various machinery such as milling machines, lathes, grinders, and CNC machines
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure accuracy of tooling components
- Collaborate with team to develop and modify tooling designs using CAD software
- Perform troubleshooting and repairs on tooling components as needed
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and standards
- Maintain documentation of tooling processes, modifications, and repairs
Education and Experience
- 5+ years of experience as a Tool Maker or in a similar or more senior role
- Proficiency in CAD software for tooling design and modification
- Strong knowledge of machining techniques and equipment operation, including milling machines, lathes, grinders, and CNC machines
- Ability to interpret blueprint/engineering drawings and specifications, including GD&T symbols
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with engineers, designers, and other team members
