Part-Time Receptionist / Administrative Assistant

Bercovitch Law Offices, P.C. is a fast-paced, modern immigration and personal injury law firm serving clients throughout the greater Philadelphia area. We are seeking a dependable, professional, and highly organized part-time receptionist to join our team.
The receptionist will serve as an important first point of contact for current and prospective clients. The primary responsibility will be answering and directing telephone calls, but the position will also include client communication, appointment coordination, document management, and general administrative support.
Depending on the firm’s workflow and the employee’s experience, the receptionist may occasionally assist attorneys and paralegals with more substantive immigration or personal injury matters.
Responsibilities
- Answer incoming telephone calls promptly and professionally
- Direct calls and messages to the appropriate attorney or staff member
- Greet clients and other visitors to the office
- Schedule and confirm consultations, appointments, court dates, and other meetings
- Communicate with clients by telephone, email, and text message
- Maintain accurate appointment and calendar information
- Copy, scan, upload, organize, and file documents
- Maintain electronic and physical client files
- Draft routine correspondence, appointment confirmations, and other administrative communications
- Assist with incoming and outgoing mail
- Request documents and information from clients as directed
- Provide general administrative support to attorneys, paralegals, and other staff members
- Occasionally assist with immigration or personal injury casework, depending on experience and office needs
- Perform other related duties as assigned

- Ability to communicate professionally with clients from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
- Basic proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, document scanning, and electronic file-management systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a receptionist, administrative assistant, customer-service, or professional-office position
- Experience working in a law firm or other professional-services environment
- Familiarity with legal case-management or cloud-based document systems
- Spanish-language proficiency is preferred but not required

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
