Ideker, Inc. is a Heavy Highway Contractor seeking an Experienced Heavy Equipment Shop Mechanic in the St. Joseph area on Class 7/8 trucks.
MUST HAVE:
- At least 2 years formal training, or working as equipment mechanic.
- Valid driver’s license - Class E.
- Be willing and able to Pass Pre-employment Physical and Drug Screen.
Ability to maintain and repair construction/heavy equipment.
Preventative maintenance and repair procedures relating to CAT, Cummins, Mack, Peterbilt, and Kenworth trucks.
Complete all reports and required documentation daily.
Job notes and time entered daily.
CDL preferred.
Class B preferred.
Good communication with Equipment Manager and Crew Superintendents.
Able to work in a fast paced environment.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and guidelines.
