Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. In this role, you will deliver exceptional patient care by providing thorough dental cleanings, patient education, and preventive treatments. Duties
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Conduct patient assessments by taking medical histories, and dental radiographs using medical imaging equipment
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options to improve their overall health
- Review and update medical records accurately in Eaglesoft
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality
- Monitor patient comfort throughout procedures and provide chairside assistance with dental terminology and anatomy knowledge
- Document treatment details precisely
Experience
- Experience as a Dental Hygienist in a general or pediatric dentistry setting
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques
- Experience with imaging procedures such as X-rays
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, and documentation review processes is essential
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse age groups including pediatrics
