Job Description:
I have 3 clients looking for staff. The hours will vary. Some job duties for this client will entail getting them off the bus, and taking them to their classes, memberships, places in the community. Dependable work ethic, commitment to the position for a least one year, and personal transportation are a MUST. Her budget is through Heritage Christian Services.
Essential Functions:
· Maintain the health and well-being of the individual
· Provide supervision, training, and assistance in accomplishing daily living activities, including, but not limited to, self-care, social, recreation, community, and domestic skills to ensure individuals' goal plans are followed; transport individuals as directed. Hands-on care would not be needed.
· Maintain accurate, updated charting and documentation per regulations
· Report all policy violations to the appropriate personnel
· Assist the individuals with their personal goal plans
· Attend staff meetings as required to evaluate and promote the effectiveness of both the individual program and the general program
· Promote workplace safety
· Time management skills
· Be reliable and on time for your shift
Education and Experience:
· High school graduate; one-year experience in the human service field preferred.
Qualifications:
· Maintain a valid New York State driver's license; a vehicle is required to perform the job
· Must have a smartphone and be tech-savvy
· Staff must complete all required trainings within 90 days of being hired and maintain current certifications with all required trainings
· Must be able to read, write, and speak English
· Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communications skills
· Must be able to talk, hear, stand for extended periods of time, walk, sit, twist, bend, use hand to finger, stretch with hands and arms
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include
· Close vision
· Ability to adjust focus
Must be Covid vaccinated. Able to wear a mask for an extended period. Everyone washes their hands and uses hand sanitizer.
