About The Videre Estate
The Videre Estate is a luxury wedding venue on over 400 acres of Texas Hill Country just south of Austin, featuring an 8-acre private lake, stunning ceremony spaces, and on-site lodging for our couples and their guests. We host weddings and events every week and weekend and pride ourselves on warm, attentive hospitality and smooth, well-run event days.
Position Overview
We are looking for a Part-Time Venue Manager to join our small, tight-knit team. This person will be a friendly, organized, “wear many hats” type who loves weddings, hospitality, and helping people feel taken care of.
This role operates on a shift-based schedule, typically requiring either a morning (AM) or evening (PM) shift on wedding days.
AM Shift: Setting the Stage As the morning Venue Manager, you are the first face our clients and vendors see. Your focus is on preparation, warmth, and seamless transitions. Some of the responsibilities include:
- Opening & Welcoming: Unlocking the venue, turning on lights, and prepping all spaces to ensure a great first impression that meets all guests expectations. Welcoming the guests and answering any arrival questions.
- Venue Readiness: Conducting a thorough walkthrough to guarantee the property is pristine, functional, and ready for the day ahead.
- Hospitality & Support: Periodically checking in on the getting-ready suites to ensure the wedding party feels pampered, supported, and has everything they need.
- Prep Oversight: Verifying that morning bar prep and setup are fully complete and staged for later service.
- Go-To Resource: Serving as the accessible, friendly point of contact for early vendor arrivals and any immediate questions.
PM Shift: Executing the Vision & Closing As the evening Venue Manager, you will typically arrive before the ceremony begins. Your focus is on execution, safety, and a smooth event and wrap-up. Responsibilities include:
- Detail Verification: Arriving before the ceremony to ensure all final venue arrangements and bar services are meticulously aligned with the day’s timeline before the event begins.
- Event Oversight: Serving as the active, on-site Venue Manager during the main event-troubleshooting behind the scenes, monitoring facilities, and keeping the energy positive.
- Vendor Liaison: Remaining readily available to answer questions and support all vendors throughout the night.
- Ready to step in for any situations: conflict resolution, cleaning spills, last minute furniture moving, cleaning bathrooms, etc. This is a fluid role that does require being ready for any situation.
- The Final Wrap: Overseeing the conclusion of the event, managing vendor load-out, and executing our comprehensive closing and lock-up procedures to leave the venue secure.
