Role Overview:
As a Certified Medical Assistant you will assist in Case Management. You will:
- Meticulously complete new patient paperwork, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Engage in daily huddles, presenting comprehensive reports and preparing essential paperwork.
- Provide informative office tours to new patients, making them feel comfortable and acquainted.
- Conduct thorough new patient consultations, addressing concerns and gathering vital information.
- Skillfully perform exam screening tests, contributing to accurate treatment planning.
- Document crucial information during new patient exams, aiding effective decision-making.
- Present patient financial plans in a clear and professional manner, ensuring transparency.
- Collaborate with the team to support new patients in fulfilling agreements and fostering a patient-centric approach.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature.
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures across various specialties like dermatology, internal medicine, geriatrics, and surgical units.
- Prepare patients for treatment by explaining procedures, ensuring comfort, and maintaining a professional bedside manner.
- Support clinical workflows by managing Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems accurately and efficiently, including ICD coding for diagnoses.
- Conduct diagnostic tasks such as taking X-rays or assisting with laboratory tests in compliance with hospital or outpatient clinic policies.
- Maintain detailed documentation of patient interactions, vital signs, , and procedural notes to ensure seamless communication among care teams.
- Extensive knowledge of physiology and anatomy to support accurate patient assessment and care delivery.
- Proven experience in hospital environments with Level I or Level II trauma center exposure preferred; familiarity with emergency medicine protocols is highly valued.
- Strong background in outpatient clinics, medical-surgical units, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or Geriatrics settings.
- Proficiency with EHR systems and familiarity with ICD coding to ensure precise documentation.
- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately across diverse populations.
- Ability to perform vital signs collection accurately and efficiently in fast-paced environments such as urgent care or hospital medicine units.
- Experience with X-ray procedures or OR (Operating Room) support is a plus; knowledge of medication administration protocols is essential.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
