Ratliff & Associates is a boutique CPA firm located in Fort Worth, Texas, dedicated to the accounting needs of nonprofit organizations, especially churches and religious organizations. Job Summary: The Auditor Manager will work with the Ratliff team to provide accounting and attestation services to churches, Christian ministries, and other nonprofit organizations. Managers are CPAs in the practice of attestation services who exhibit technical proficiency, possessing a thorough knowledge of FASB and AICPA standards and guidance, in addition to general knowledge of federal and state regulations and compliance. Managers manage time, clients, and staff. Managers identify problems and solve them. Managers have the ability to supervise a team and multiple engagements. Managers communicate efficiently and effectively with teammates and clients.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Assume responsibility for planning, supervising, and completing engagements.
2. Plan the timing and assigning of staff to engagements.
3. Review engagement workpapers, resolve any problems with team and client, and keep the partner informed of all important developments in the engagement.
4. Possess a working knowledge of firm technology, including audit software and Microsoft Office.
6. Evaluate the performance of senior and staff accountants and provided supplemental training.
7. Develop current and new client contacts and other relationships beneficial to the firm.
8. Assist in administrative functions as assigned by the partners.
9. Recognize opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Minimum of three years’ experience as an auditor (or equivalent experience as deemed appropriate by the partners).
Must be a certified public accountant with ability to practice public accounting in Texas and other states.
