Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating dump trucks to transport and deliver various materials across multiple job sites. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, adherence to safety regulations, and ability to handle different types of cargo will ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale construction, infrastructure projects, or material hauling operations while maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks and tractor-trailers in compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
- Safely load, unload, and secure freight, including hazardous materials and dangerous goods, following all hazardous materials regulations.
- Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely delivery across over-the-road (OTR) routes and job sites.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, including checking fluid levels, brakes, tires, and safety equipment.
- Load and unload cargo manually or with equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring proper cargo handling and weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate route driving and delivery schedules.
- Follow all safety procedures related to truck loading/unloading, hazardous materials handling, and manual handling tasks.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards for refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or specialized equipment as needed.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving across OTR routes.
- Knowledge of truck loading/unloading procedures for freight, hazardous goods, or specialized cargo such as refrigerated trailers or tankers.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning.
- Ability to operate manual transmission trucks safely and confidently.
- Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazard communication standards, and hazardous materials regulations.
- Skilled in manual handling techniques for cargo loading/unloading while maintaining safety protocols.
- Experience with forklift operation or other material handling equipment is a plus.
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance in commercial driving environments.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.50 per hour
